Program Director

Help shape the future of student storytelling! The Student Television Network (STN) is seeking a creative, organized, and mission-driven Program Director to lead and grow our national student media programs. This full-time role oversees contests, conventions, workshops, and educational experiences that empower middle and high school students through storytelling, broadcast journalism, film, and media production. We are looking for someone who thrives in collaborative environments, loves both big-picture thinking and detailed execution, and is passionate about creating meaningful experiences for students and teachers nationwide.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the vision and development of STN programs and contests

• Oversee contest operations, judging systems, and participant experience

• Support planning and execution of the annual STN Convention and events

• Develop handbooks, rubrics, timelines, and operational systems

• Foster relationships with teachers, students, alumni, and industry partners

• Collaborate with staff and vendors to create engaging educational experiences

What We’re Looking For

• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills

• Passion for storytelling, media education, and student impact

• Experience in program management, media, education, events, or creative leadership

• Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments

• Creative problem-solving mindset with attention to detail

Position Details

• Full-Time, Remote

• Some travel required for major STN events

• Occasional evenings/weekends during events and deadlines

• Salary starting at $55,000+, based on experience

• Reports directly to the Executive Director
