STN Instagram Takeover Program
We’re excited to launch a brand-new way for STN schools to shine on Instagram while also earning scholarship money for your program. By signing up for a 2-week Instagram Takeover slot, your students can showcase their creativity, tell their program’s STN story, and get rewarded with a $500 scholarship for their efforts!
Scholarship funds can be used however the teacher chooses:
Credit toward contests or convention
A check made out to the school program for equipment, supplies, or other needs

📝 Signup Rules & Deadlines
Active STN Membership Required: Only schools with a current active STN membership for the 2025–2026 school year may participate.
One Block per School Rule: Each school may initially claim only one 2-week takeover block.
Second Block Availability:
If any takeover blocks remain open two weeks before the block starts, schools may request a second block.
Fall Semester: Blocks run September 8 - December 19.
Spring Semester: Blocks run January 5 - May 29. (Blocks during convention dates may vary)
First Come, First Served: Blocks will be filled in the order signups are received on the STN Dashboard.
Teacher Oversight: A supervising teacher must be listed on the signup form as the point of contact.
Commitment: Schools must complete their entire 2-week slot once confirmed. If a program cancels or misses requirements, STN reserves the right to reassign the block and withhold funds.
💰 Pay Structure
Flat Rate per 2-Week Takeover Block: $500
Must meet all posting requirements to qualify for the full scholarship
If requirements are not met, schools will receive a partial scholarship based on posts made.
📲 Posting Requirements
To qualify for the $500 scholarship, schools must complete all posting requirements during their 2-week block:
Posts: At least 6 feed posts (photo or video)
Stories: At least 10 stories spread across the two weeks
Reels: 2 reels minimum (student highlight, BTS, program spotlight, etc.)
Engagement: Respond to comments and DMs during your block appropriately (with guidance and prior approval of STN)
Optional, but encouraged: polls, Q&As, teacher and student features, “day in the life” segments, and interactive story elements.
📖 Guidelines
Content must focus on STN and its audience. Posts should be relevant to student media, storytelling, broadcasting, filmmaking, or the culture of STN programs.
Content must follow STN’s social media guidelines. No AI-generated visuals, inappropriate language or content, or uncredited work.
Posts should showcase your program, classroom culture, projects, or STN contests and events.
Teachers are expected to supervise posting and ensure content follows both school and STN policies.
Missing posting requirements may result in partial or no payout.
