CONTEST DESCRIPTION

The STN Nationals are presented annually by Student Television Network in each of the categories listed below. The awards are presented in recognition of excellence in scholastic broadcast television and film. They honor the special skills and unique talents of broadcasting and film students from across the nation.

The guidelines for submission of entries are outlined in this document and also in the document titled STN General Contest Rules & Regulations. For an outline of STN Rules and Regulations that apply to all STN contests visit the contest link on www.studenttelevision.org.

Entries that do not follow all the rules and guidelines are subject to penalty and/or disqualification by the judges. If a judge feels an entry does not meet the contest objectives, or did not follow all the rules and guidelines outlined by STN, then the entry will be penalized in the “followed directions” category and noted in the comments section by the judge.

All decisions by the judges are final. The Board of Directors of Student Television Network reserves the right to change or amend these Rules & Regulations, at any time, and without notice. Winning entries may be reproduced, broadcast or distributed at STN discretion.

Entries are eligible if produced and aired between March 8th, 2018 and Mar 6th, 2019. For the purpose of this contest, “aired” means broadcast, cablecast, shared with an audience of students, or presented to the community via closed-circuit, online or any other playback device.
