This annual "Challenge" contest took place over six days in October when teams of up to four students could participate. Topics were announced on day one, and all entries had to be postmarked six days later.

The event is one of STN's oldest and most-demanding competitions. The winners will be announced at the closing ceremony of the STN National Convention on January 20 in Anaheim, CA.

All entries receive a written critique by a professional broadcaster. Those will be made available after the winners are recognized in January.
