For the next few weeks, the Student Television Network will be conducting its second Executive Council election to determine the leadership of STN for the next two years. The fundamental charge of the STN Executive Council is to ensure that the objectives of Student Television Network are met, and to carry out duties outlined by STN's bylaws. The STN Executive Council meets in person or via conference call on a quarterly basis to address the needs of STN's affiliates. The Executive Council often continues this communication with each other through a dedicated e-mail list. The two-year term expires in May for seven of sixteen STN Executive Council members, although some may seek re-election. The eight others now serving elected roles will continue one more year before they leave or are re-elected.
